Former Biggest Loser host Fiona Falkiner has revealed her weight loss progress, six months after giving birth to her baby boy, Hunter.

The Aussie model had her first baby with fiancee Hayley Willis in March this year — and after getting the all-clear, she embarked on her fitness journey in June.

“My obstetrician told me I could not really train until 12 weeks post birth so I just started gently in June doing post-partum workouts and slowly worked my way up from there,” Fiona told news.com.au in her role as The Healthy Mummy ambassador.

“For me, it is about having control and having structure and not putting any pressure on myself to lose a certain amount of weight.

“It also feels so good to have control of my life like that.”

In an Instagram snap, the 38-year-old showed off her progress with a side-by-snap wearing a pair of jeans.

“Look who nearly fits into her mum jeans!” she wrote.

“Being away from home and living in hotels for the past six weeks has been a bit of a challenge. I set myself some personal fitness goals using the @thehealthymummy app and I have to say firstly it helped keep me sane and I’m now a big fan of working out at home.”

Fiona, Hayley and baby Hunter, were in hotel quarantine in Melbourne for two weeks, following another four weeks of lockdown in the city.

The trio, who live in Sydney, were in Melbourne for Hayley’s work, where she is the communications manager for the Sydney Swans.

“While we were in hotel quarantine we did about two weeks of training everyday — minus three days — and I just felt so good,” Fiona told news.com.au

“For me, moving is really important so I have been nutting away at that.

“It has also been good for my mental health, so when I got home, I tried on those jeans and now I am using them as a way of motivation.”

Fiona said for her, it’s not about the number on the scale, but all about “moving”.

“If I try something on and it feels good, that’s how I measure my progress.”

Fiona said, like most women, her body shaped has changed after giving birth, but is so proud for all it has done.

“It carried my little man and kept him safe,” she said.

With both women as busy working mums, Fiona said communication is key in their relationship.

”I took eight weeks off work when I had hunter but had to go back as I am a freelancer and I don’t get maternity leave — so it can be tough but it’s about being open and communicating, and letting the other know when you’re busy, so they can step up.”

Fiona and Hayley were due to get married, for the third time, in October this year, but due to Covid they have had to reschedule it again.
