McDonald’s has revealed that it has listened to fans and has finally created their “most requested collab” ever.
Macca’s lovers have been suggesting for some time now that the fast food chain collaborates with Biscoff. Now, that dream has officially become a reality.
From today, the beloved burger chain will offer four Biscoff-inspired menu items. This includes a Biscoff Coffee Frappe, a Biscoff Shake, a Biscoff McFlurry and a Biscoff McPop.
Popular food content creator @nectoriouspapi was one of the first to try the Biscoff McFlurry, which features Biscoff cookie crumb, caramel sauce and ice cream.
“As you can see, there is no Biscoff topping. It’s caramel sauce,” he said.
Nectro dug in, saying he was initially disappointed that it was going to be caramel sauce and not Biscoff sauce.
“But this still works really well. The caramel sauce with the Biscoff biscuits and ice cream, it’s still so delicious,” he said.
“It’s really yum and works well together.”
However, the foodie did pose a question to Macca’s, suggesting it pairs Biscoff ice cream, Biscoff sauce and the actual biscuits for a “triple Biscoff” hit.
Social media users had mixed reactions to the news.
“Mehhhhhhhhh. I make the best homemade Biscoff thick shake. But I’ll try the frappé. Don’t care for the McFlurry OK byeeeee,” one said.
Another commented: “It works, but it’s half a**ed. I’ll make my own!”
“How are you going to introduce a caramel sauce instead of Biscoff? Ultimate finesse of 2025,” one said.
Another social media user commented: “And instead of an apple pie, a Biscoff filled pie.”
Amanda Nakad, Marketing Director of Menu and Brand for McDonald’s Australia said, the treats have arrived in time for Valentine’s Day.
“Whether it’s a couple of Biscoff Shakes, an afternoon Biscoff Coffee Frappé pick-me-up, or ending the night with a Biscoff McFlurry – there’s something for everyone,” she said.
As well as the Biscoff range, Macca’s has also released a 1.18 litre limited-edition Grimace Tumbler, which claims to keep drinks hot for six hours and cold for 24 hours.
The menu additions come after it was revealed Macca’s would remove nine products from February 12, including three salads, two chicken wraps and grape tomatoes.
A popular chicken burger, toastie and kids strawberry yoghurt pouch were also on the chopping block.
While the burger chain was adding nine new menu items, including four new wraps and the range of Biscoff treats, some have aired their frustrations at the change.
