’World first’ Krispy Kreme launches in Australia

The brand best loved for the iconic “original glaze” has created an entirely new doughnut that is a combination of two popular desserts.

Krispy Kreme lovers should get excited for a “world-first” from the doughnut giant.

The well-known brand, best loved for its “original glaze” ring, has created an entirely new treat – the “Duffin”.

As the name suggests, the sweet product is a combination of a doughnut and muffin, which can be found at Krispy Kreme and 7-Eleven from July 5.

Unlike its lighter sister, the iconic Krispy Kreme, the “Duffin” has a cake-like texture with a soft filling.

The $4 item comes in three different flavours: apple and cinnamon, blueberry and white choc, and double choc.

Olivia Sutherland, Marketing Director at Krispy Kreme Australia, said: “We’re so excited to be launching this world first for the brand in Australia.

“We always like to bring new and exciting products to our fans and hope they love this new product just as much as we loved creating it.”

To celebrate its release, the doughnut giant are giving away a free Duffin to anyone who purchases a coffee from a Krispy Kreme store between 9.30am and 11.30am on Tuesday.

There is a one per person limit.

Sadly, the promotion isn’t available at every location.

Gold Coast Airport, Nudgee, Mt Druitt, Parramatta (Level 5) Watergardens and Melbourne Domestic T1 (Qantas) Krispy Kreme stores are not included in this promotion.
