‘I want more’: Beloved KFC item returns for a limited time

Fried chicken giant KFC has brought back one of its most popular limited time only menu items, sparking excitement from fans.

It was one of the fried chicken giant’s most popular limited time only menu items – and now it’s back.

KFC Australia is bringing back the Popcorn Chicken Slab, which was first introduced in 2020.

Lovingly nicknamed “The Slab” the mega sandwich features six soft dinner rolls filled with Popcorn Chicken, oozing tasty cheese and BBQ sauce.

Sally Spriggs, CMO at KFC Australia, commented: “We’re excited to announce that we’re finally bringing back The Slab to KFC restaurants across the country.

“After first introducing The Slab in 2020, the response from our fans was huge and we’ve had lots of people demanding its return.

“So, we’ve listened to our fans, and it’s now once again available across all our restaurants for everyone to enjoy – either with friends or if you’re game, all to yourself!

“Like all good things, not even The Slab can last forever, so get in quick because this encore tour won’t last forever.”

The Popcorn Chicken Slab will be available in all KFC restaurants from October 4, will the deal running until October 31.

A large combo meal – known as The Slab Feast – will include selection of Original Recipe, Chicken Tenders and chips on the side.

The first time The Slab was released, chicken lovers went mad for it.

“What the heck! This looks delicious! KFC is launching some excellent products as of late,” one said.

Another said: “It is worth it OMG I had it Saturday and it is soooooo nice I want more.”
