‘Biggest’ ever: McDonald’s launches As Featured In Meals across 100 countries

After days of cryptic messaging on social media, McDonald’s has launched its “biggest” campaign ever – one available in more than 100 countries.

After days of cryptic messaging on social media, McDonald’s has launched its “biggest campaign ever”.

Available next week in more than 100 countries, the As Featured In Meals are a collection of menu items that have made appearances over the years throughout film, TV and music.

For a limited time, fans can relive the magic of their favourite characters and artists with one of four main menu items and sides.

The As Featured In Meals will include a choice of 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, Big Mac, Quarter Pounder or Fillet-O-Fish, along with medium or large fries and a medium or large soft drink.

There’s also a newly-branded Sweet ’n Sour Sauce to accompany the Chicken McNuggets – inspired by the second season of Marvel’s Loki, which lands on Disney+ on October 6.

“It’s not only our real-life fans who have a go-to order, for decades our favourite movie and TV characters have, too,” McDonald’s global chief marketing officer and head of new ventures, Morgan Flatley, said.

“The As Featured In Meals is our biggest Famous Order yet, celebrating the most memorable McDonald’s references across the world of entertainment.”

The “Famous Orders” initiative began overseas in 2020, highlighting the – you guessed it – orders of celebrities, including those of rappers Travis Scott and The Kid Laroi.

Any customers who purchase an As Featured In Meal will also be able to scan the QR code on their food’s packaging to access a custom merchandise collaboration with London-based skate and streetwear brand, PALACE.

The As Featured In Meals will be available at McDonald’s restaurants nationwide from August 15 for a limited time.

The fast food giant recently announced it was rolling out 100 new stores in Australia over the next three years in its biggest expansion plan in decades.

The expansion is being spearheaded by the highly ambitious, new Australian CEO Antoni Martinez.
