Atlanta Braves’ MLB ‘World Championship’ burger being sold for $33,000

Sport fans in the United States are being offered a strange deal: Spend thousands of dollars on a single, truly monstrous burger.

This monstrous burger will set you back at least $200.

A baseball stadium in the United States is selling burgers that cost up to $US25,000 ($A33,000) to commemorate the Atlanta Braves’ 2021 World Series title.

And the price tag isn’t the only eye-popping feature. The ingredients are equally wild.

There are two variants of the “World Championship Burger”. The cheaper option, which costs a (relatively) modest $US151 ($A200), comes with a replica 2021 World Series ring.

The price of $151 is a reference to the 151 years the Braves have existed.

The far pricier $33,000 burger comes with a limited edition championship ring.

The burger itself includes a few fancy ingredients. It features a Wagyu beef patty, pan-fried eggs, foie gras, lobster tail, Tillamook cheddar cheese, truffle aoili and an heirloom tomato. It comes with a side of parmesan waffle fries.

The reaction to this extravagant idea has been much as you would expect.

The Braves won their first World Series title since 1995 last November, defeating the Houston Astros in four out of six games.

“I’m still numb. I don’t really have emotions. I’m kind of trying to tell you guys things of how I feel because I don’t really feel anything yet,” star player Freddie Freeman told the media in the immediate aftermath of that victory.

“It’s going to hit hard soon.”

That’s the same thing Braves fans will be saying as they munch on their $33,000 burgers.
