Sydney restaurateur Maurice Terzini will have none of that. For him, dining out is about laughter and the buzz around the tables.
And he’s bringing that mindset to the American Express delicious. Month Out. Month Out is offering amazing dining specials and events at a host of top Sydney restaurants.
Terzini is passionate about the Sydney food scene and welcomes the whole family to enjoy a meal at CicciaBella Osteria + Bar in Bondi as part of Month Out.
“The last 35 years I’ve been a big believer in serving everyone, we have always had the motto we serve everyone from eight to 80,” Terzini said.
“Just because a restaurant doesn’t have a children’s menu, doesn’t mean they aren’t children friendly. My kids have grown up in the restaurant, I grew up in restaurants.”
The father of three is determined to see Sydney’s hospitality industry rise from the Covid ashes and is reminding families that it “doesn’t taste like this at home” so get out of the house, get dressed up and go out for a meal.
“Take away sucks, we started a campaign last year called It doesn’t taste like this at home to remind everyone of the social energy and engagement that you can only experience at a restaurant,” Terzini said.
“And I think restaurants can allow children particularly to be more confident in social activities, more confident around adults and more confident around other children. I measure the success of a restaurant by the laughter and conversations going on.”
To celebrate American Express delicious. Month Out, CicciaBella Osteria + Bar is offering a return to the classics with pasta e vino every Wednesday night in May. They are showcasing four classic pastas that will take you on a trip through the regions of Italy.
Terzini said he has already had more than 20 booking cancellations since Sydney’s transmission case but supports the government’s advice for Sydneysiders to be careful when you’re out but don’t stay at home.
