When it comes to fashion, finding the perfect blend of comfort, ease, and style can be challenging.
However, a matching set ticks all those boxes, making it a wardrobe essential you can just throw on and head out the door.
Whether you’re layering it over swimwear at the beach or dressing it up for a casual brunch, there’s a matching set to suit every budget.
But with some higher-end options costing upwards of $500, it’s little wonder that budget-conscious shoppers are raving about a new crochet set from Target, priced at just $70.
Available in sizes XXS-XXXL, The Lily Loves Crochet Tunic Vest, $30, and Crochet Pants, $40, is ideal for hot summer days.
The top features an on-trend V-neck vest with a sleeveless design, scalloped hemline, thick shoulder straps, and a longline tunic silhouette.
It can be worn open or closed over the matching wide-leg pants, which are opaque at the top and sheer towards the bottom.
The white set is made from a blend of cotton and nylon, and has an intricate all-over crochet design.
It resembles the much pricier Chamber Vest and Riddle Pant set from Australian label Viktoria & Woods, which retails for $680.
For $610 less, the wallet-friendly dupe still gives off the same laid-back, luxurious look, leading to many on social media to post about the find.
Have your say in The Great Aussie Debate. Take the survey here:
TikToker @nmcnamara0 recently showed off the Target set in a video, encouraging her followers to “go get this crochet set.”
She styled the outfit with chunky thong sandals, a black handbag, and a slicked-back bun.
Her followers praised the fit in the comments, calling it “stunning” and saying it looked great on her.
Others described it as a “slay” and felt influenced to rush to the store to try and track it down before it sells out.
Meanwhile, fellow content creator @givingmumvibes shared her own “fit check” video, showing off the set while matching with her daughter, who was also in a cream crochet outfit.
The mum paired the look with dainty gold jewellery, black sandals, sunglasses, and diamond earrings.
She captioned the clip, “Little matching moment with my mini,” which attracted countless comments about how cute they looked together.
One person remarked, “I’m still shook this set is from Target! Looks beautiful.”
Another added, “Love your outfit,” while someone else exclaimed, “OMG, this set.”
When someone asked about the sizing, she responded that it was “pretty true to size” and super comfortable.
Another said, “I saw this set today, and you’ve convinced me I need it.”
Yet another TikToker, @whit.hough, also jumped on the bandwagon, trying on the viral outfit and sharing a clip of herself modelling it in the Target changeroom.
She asked her followers, “DO I NEED TO RUN BACK AND GET THIS SET? HELP! @nicola_mcnamara posted this gorgeous Target set, and I needed to try it on for the size 12 ladies out there.”
Commenters quickly encouraged her, with one user saying, “Love it!” and another urging, “You need to get this.”
One pointed out, “Yes, it makes you look like a rich Noosa mum.”
For those who aren’t a fan of matching sets, or just love crochet pieces, there’s also a midi dress in the same range.
The Lily Loves Crochet Midi Dress, priced at $50, is just as nice, however, due to its sheer design, might be better suited for the beach, worn over swimmers.
The dress features a straight cut for a regular fit and includes a stylish V-neckline and V-back, with a sleeveless design.
