MEGHAN Markle has broken from her standard neutral tones and has worn two colourful dresses in 24 hours. What have we done to deserve this?

The Royal Tour Wrap: Day 7

EVERYBODY, brace yourself.

Meghan Markle actually wore a pop of colour. And not just once, but twice.

The Duchess of Sussex made a break from her usual colour palette of muted neutral tones and wore a showstopping Fijian blue evening gown at a State banquet.

She also accessorised with a Prince wearing medals.

She accessorised the gorgeous caped dress — which was designed by English brand Safiyaa — with diamond drop earrings thought to be loaned to her by the Queen.

The dress is available for pre-order for $2000.

She blinged it up with a pair of “borrowed” diamond drop earrings (which are thought to be from Harry’s grandma).

People around the globe were thrilled with her move away from her standard black/navy/white/beige cocktail dresses.

Then to really spoil us, she stepped out this morning in ANOTHER colourful dress. This time with pompoms. What have we done to deserve this thrilling rollercoaster of colour and texture and interesting design?

Their version of island resort chic reminds us a little of when the girls from Porpoise Spit go on holiday. But in a really good way — anything that is reminiscent of Muriel’s Wedding is fine by us.

The dress is the Figue ‘Frederica’ Printed Ruffle Dress. It retails for $1945.

In case you’re not across the Figue brand, according to the website, “director Stephanie von Watzdorf draws inspiration for Figue from her artistic and global heritage. She was born on the outskirts of Paris and spent summers on the Mediterranean in Italy.”

Sounds idyllic. Good for you Stephanie von Watzdorf.

The black wedges Meghan wore with the outfit were the same Castaner ‘Carina’ espadrilles that she wore to Bondi beach last week.

Meghan also re-wore her Karen Walker ‘Temptation’ stud earrings and a Shaun Leane serpent bracelet.

The Duchess also went for some fresh flowers in her hair. If anyone of us tried to execute this we’d be craning out neck in a hotel bathroom and stabbing ourselves mercilessly in the scalp with bobby pins. But not Meghan. She has her personal hairdresser George Northwood on tour with her.

People on Twitter have been scrambling to identify the designer of the clutch bag she teamed with the colourful dress.

It seems that it was purchased from a local market in Suva.

Meghan wore her island lewk to attend a morning tea at the British High Commissioner’s Residence which is showcasing women’s organisations in Fiji. It’s her first solo engagement of the royal tour.
