Wombat rescuer’s labour of love

IT was a love that started in childhood and 35 years later Roz Holmes has saved thousands of native bare-nosed wombats from a range of horrors.

Andrea Ruske with bat Susan moved to the NT from Germany 10 years ago she started volunteering to rescue native animals - she is a committee member of Wildcare NT and mentors new carers, she is the secretary for Ark Aid Inc and volunteers for AMRRIC, she has been nominated for a Pride of Australia award.

‘Australia is my home now’

Year 8 student Isabella Dymalovski has started her own skincare label called Luv Ur Skin. The products range from lip gloss and hand cream to body lotion and nail polish. She goes to St Michaels Grammar School in St Kilda.
