Police have been out in force this week targeting dangerous drivers across the state as a part of Operation Nabbed., , Operation Nabbed ran from Friday 9 February 2024 to Saturday 10 February 2024, targeting drug and alcohol driving offences, and general road compliance across multiple commands., , The high-visibility operation involved officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command’s South West Sector supported by general duties officers from local commands., , Police also conducted 22,279 random breath tests, which resulted in 87 people being charged with PCA offences., , During the operation, police conducted 1105 roadside drug tests, resulting in 91 positive drug tests., , An off-duty police officer has been charged with drink-driving., , Officers attached to the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were conducting random breath testing as part of Operation Nabbed on the Hume Motorway, Menangle, when the driver was stopped, about 9.20pm on Friday (9 February 2024)., , The driver - a 35-year-old man - was subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned with a positive result., , He was arrested and underwent an on-site breath analysis, which returned with a reading of 0.102., , Photo: NSW Police / Supplied
