Bushfire payment for kids doubled to $800

The $400 emergency cash payment per child for families hit by bushfires around the country has been doubled under a raft of changes announced by the federal government.

Morrison acknowledges bushfire backlash

Prime Minister Scott Morrison says he will take to cabinet a proposal to establish a royal commission into the bushfire disasters as he admits mistakes were made in his handling of the crisis.

Govts chip in for bushfire-ravaged communities

NSW local councils hardest hit by the bushfires will have a $1 million in emergency assistance land in their bank accounts in the next 24 hours, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has promised. It comes after the Berejiklian State government pledged $1 billion.

‘Committed to the mission’: Troops to stay in Iraq
