Bondi Beach to reopen for running, walking, paddling

An Eastern Suburbs man who allegedly had framed child porn material in his apartment has been granted bail.Police raided Eric Shumsky’s unit on Old South Head Road, Watsons Bay, last Saturday after receiving a tip off and allegedly found numerous framed depictions of child abuse material. The 65-year-old faced Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday on four counts of possess child abuse material.According to court documents, police found 126 hardcopy images of children, including several that were on open display in his bedroom.The court heard Shumshy was on Newstart payments and was seeing a psychologist for addiction to child porn.Before granting Shumsky bail Magistrate Janet Walquist told the court the images were “extremely disturbing” and that he could not escape the fact that children had been abused in their creation.He was ordered to obey strict conditions that included reporting to Robe Bay Police Station every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, not approach any child under 16 or area where they frequent. Shumsky will appear in Waverley Local Court on Wednesday
