Log in via app

1. Open the app by tapping the app icon on your device.

2. Tap the three horizontal lines, located in the top right-hand corner.

3. Go to Settings.

4. Select Log in / Register today, located below Account. You will be redirected to a webpage in your default browser.

5. Enter your email address and password then select Log In. This will take you back to the app and allow you to view premium content, providing you are a digital subscriber.

Log in using a social account
You can also log in to your News account using your existing username and password from Facebook, Twitter, Apple ID and Google+.
To log in using a linked social account, follow these steps:

1. Go to Sign In, located in the top right-hand corner of the website.

2. Click on the icon of the social account you wish to use to login.

Link your social account
To link your social accounts, follow these steps:

1. Once signed in to the website, click on the down arrow next to your name and select My Account.

2. Click on My Profile, under My Details.

3. There will be a section called Linked Accounts with 4 buttons for each social media account.

4. Click on the social media account you wish to link.

5. Follow the prompts and enter your social account login details.

6. Once successful, you will be taken back to My Account and the relevant button will be lit.




What are my login details?

We use your email address and password to identify you when you log in.

Email Address
If you have forgotten your email address, please submit an enquiry through the Contact Us form.

Password
If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it by following these steps:

1. Go to Sign In, located in the top right-hand corner of the website.

2. Select Forgot your password?

3. Enter the email address you used when you subscribed and click Submit.

4. You will shortly receive an email from News Pty Ltd to set a new password. If you haven’t received an email, check your spam or junk folder.

5. Follow the prompts to set a new password.

You can change your password in My Account, by following these steps:

1. Once signed in to the website, click on the down arrow next to your name and select My Account.

2. Click on My Profile, under My Details.

3. In the login details section, click on Edit.

4. Enter your existing password.

5. Enter your new password and confirm.

6. Click Save Changes.




Why do I keep getting the error message: Wrong Email or Password?

If you are getting the above error message, follow these steps:

1. Ensure you are using the correct login information, associated with the subscription you wish to access.

2. If you are still unable to log in, click Forgot your password? to reset your password.

How do I whitelist News from ad-blocking software?

AdBlock Plus

1. Click the AdBlock Plus icon.

2. Click Enabled on this site to disable ad blocking for the current site.

AdBlock

1. Click the AdBlock icon.

2. Click Don’t run on pages on this domain.

uBlock

1. Click the big power button to whitelist the current web site.

NoScript

1. Because of NoScript’s flexibility, it can be a lot of work to get the correct results. If you must, use the ABE and closely follow their FAQ and documentation.




Will Private Browsing affect my registered experience?

Yes it will. Some web browsers have a setting called anonymous, incognito or In Private Browsing mode.
By using your browser in private browsing, your identity will stay hidden from the sites you visit and your browser cookies will be deleted when the session is closed.

If you are registered with us and notice you can’t make a comment, it is likely that your browser is set to anonymous mode.




Can I save an article?

Website
You can bookmark articles on your browser. Otherwise, you may be able to email an article to yourself by doing the following:

1. Scroll to the bottom of the screen, below the text of the article.

2. There will be three buttons (email, Facebook and Twitter) to share the article.

3. Click on the email button and follow the instructions.

App
You can save an article on the app, by doing the following:

1. Swipe left on an article on the homepage and index pages.

2. Or tap the bookmark icon on the lower right-hand corner of the article.

Please note:
When clearing the cache of your device, or performing any steps that involve re-installing the application you will lose the Saved Articles you have selected. We suggest making a note of the article names before performing any troubleshooting, to avoid losing track of your saved content.
