Article entitled “Another Mad Monday disaster for the NRL with Bulldogs players caught stripping off” (4/9/2018) originally reported Bulldogs halfback Lachlan Lewis attended that function and was seen being handed into an Uber by teammates. The article was incorrect as Mr Lewis did not attend the function at all. DailyTelegraph.com.au apologises to Mr Lewis.

On 8 January 2019, an article on The Daily Telegraph’s website entitled “Man shot in the foot during wild brawl on busy strip” reported that a man charged over a shooting in Sydney’s west was the brother of well-known criminal lawyer Adam Houda. That was incorrect. The Daily Telegraph apologises to Mr Houda for the error.

Retraction – Demmi Zeschke

On 26 July 2018 and 31 July 2018, The Daily Telegraph and The Southern Courier published stories which claimed that Demmi Zeschke, a former corrective services officer, had a sexual relationship with an inmate. The Daily Telegraph and The Southern Courier have no evidence that a sexual relationship took place, and retract that claim about Ms Zeschke. The Daily Telegraph and The Southern Courier apologise for the error.
