An article published in The Daily Telegraph on January 31, 2020 with the headline “Optus hit with biggest ever spam fine from ACMA after ignoring customer calls to unsubscribe” incorrectly stated that Optus was also caught sending people fake bills with no options to unsubscribe.
That was incorrect. The story should have stated that Optus had sent marketing emails with its bills with no option to unsubscribe.
