Sydney Olympic Park offers a huge array of family activities; it’s more than Sydney’s event capital. Home to a host of sports and entertainment venues, along with 430 hectares of parklands and open space, the Park has a packed and diverse range of activities for the whole family to enjoy over summer, including its 2018-19 summer school holidays program, which can help kids of all ages keep active minds and active bodies on every day of the holidays.
- Circus Arts Flying Trapeze
Kids aged 5 and over can take part in Circus Arts Flying Trapeze classes at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre every day during the school holidays.
- Gymnastics
Take part in one of several Gymnastics programs during the school holidays at the Quaycentre. Tumbling on 8-9 January; Strength and Conditioning on 10-11 January; Gym Sports from 15-18 January and Urban Gymnastics from 21-23 January.
- Train with Elite Athletes
Train with some of the elite athletes who call Sydney Olympic Park home these school holidays at the Train Like a Swift program at the Genea Netball Centre on Thursday 24 January; the Wanderers in the Park program on 21-21 January; or Camp Thunder at the Quaycentre on 24 January.
- Diving, Water Polo, Swimming
Make a splash at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. Kids can take part in Diving or Water Polo clinics, a Swimming Intensive Program, or just enjoy the All Day Holiday Recreational Program, with a range of activities available throughout January 2019.
- Archery
Stay on target for fun with the Archery School Holiday Program from 27 December until 4 February at Sydney Olympic Park’s Archery Centre. Other activities at the centre include a Laser Tag School Holiday Program from 8 January until 7 February. Aim high with 20 per cent off the archery programs at Sydney Olympic Park’s Archery Centre. Sport fans can also see the Sydney Thunder battle it out in the KFC Big Bash League at Spotless Stadium; enjoy the Sydney Kings National Basketball League revival when they take to the court at Qudos Bank Arena; and watch as the Western Sydney Wanderers fight for their first Hyundai A-League title in a series of home games at ANZ Stadium.
