Love Island and SAS Australia star Eden Dally has warned he will pull out of upcoming celebrity boxing bout against The Bachelorette’s Timm Hanly if he feels the sport is being “disrespected”.
Tensions between the pair reached boiling point when Dally posted DMs from Hanley where the reality regular suggested stirring up drama to get media coverage for the fight.
The pair are part of the Now Or Never boxing tournament in April which will see 10 reality television stars face off in the ring.
Dally told Sunday Confidential he’s taking the match seriously.
“I love boxing, I love the sport and respect it very much. I’ve always wanted to fight and when the opportunity arose I thought I’d give it a shot … I would never disrespect the sport, I’m taking it seriously,” he said.
“If I thought this was disrespecting the sport, if (Hanly) brings up Instagram insights again I’ll pull out.
“These days there’s a lot of keyboard warriors talking tough on Instagram and talking a big game, but come the night once you get punched in the face it’s a different story.”
Hanly has been contacted for comment.
Paddy Colliar, a Bachelorette contestant turned Only Fans model, told Confidential his opponent Rhyce Power, of MAFS fame, needs to be taught a lesson.
“I have heard a lot about (Power) and can’t confirm what is true and what is not, but I have had a few run-ins with him in the past. It might be time for someone to finally shut him up. No love lost here. Looks have only gotten him so far. When the bell goes, he will get what’s coming to him,” Colliar said
On Instagram Power said Colliar would need all the help he could get.
Also facing off is Bachelor In Paradise’s Ciarran Stott and The Voice singer Chriddy Black. Stott had kind words for his opponent, but said he was confident he’d take the win.
“The fight with Chriddy Black isn’t going to be an easy fight, he’s a bigger guy and has boxing experience,” he said.
He chose to fight Black because he is a tough competitor, and wanted a good challenge on the night,” he added.
“In saying that I believe the skill level I’m at and the physical condition I’ll be in on the night will end with me taking the W,” he said.
Also fighting on the night are Love Island’s Adam Farrugia and Big Brother winner Chad Hurst plus Bachelorette stars Jamie Doran and Pascal Wallace.
