Vanessa Hudgens photos reveal impossible reality

Some fresh photos of Vanessa Hudgens have revealed a very grim reality, one that is, sadly, still occurring in 2024.

Vanessa Hudgens is being body-shamed online, just months after she gave birth to her first child.

The 35-year-old, who had her child in July, was seen taking the newborn for a walk around Los Angeles.

She was wearing a baggy T-shirt and shorts; she looked great, yet bizarrely, she was still having her body picked apart online.
Despite having just had a child, she still isn’t excluded from being on the receiving end of ridiculous comments about her weight.

The comments were so bad that they are not worth repeating, but they were rife online.

One sane fan rushed to defend the High School Musical star, saying: “Anyone commenting on her body should be banned from commenting”.

It is hard to accept that a new mum can’t even avoid the gross commentary that famous women are always expected to endure about their weight.

Hudgens was taking her child for a stroll around the local neighbourhood and, instead of sparking an encouraging discussion about her new mum life, the photos erupted into a conversation about her post-partum body.

There’s definitely no getting around the fact that once you’re a famous woman, no matter how much we preach about body neutrality and body positivity, your body and your weight become talking points.

No amount of success will silence that chatter either.

Even Taylor Swift, who is arguably the most influential and successful woman in the world right now, can’t escape it.

On X, formally known as Twitter, occasionally, a post observing that she’s gained or lost weight goes viral, and it is always very depressing.

It feels especially uncomfortable because Swift has previously opened up about her difficult relationship with body image in her Netflix documentary Miss Americana.

In the documentary, Swift said that seeing photos of herself every day was unhealthy, and encouraged her to become super critical of her body.

Swift explained that when she’d see a photo of herself where she felt she didn’t look thin enough, it could “trigger me to starve just a little bit – just stop eating”.

The songstress went on to explain that she felt beauty standards were impossible and never made anyone feel good enough.

“If you’re thin enough, then you don’t have that arse that everybody wants. But if you have enough weight on you to have an arse, your stomach isn’t flat enough. It’s all just f***ing impossible,” she said.

That documentary was released in 2020 and Swift’s comments have never been more relevant.

She’s having the best year of her career and even she’s not able to avoid ridiculous conversations about her body.

It was heartening to see the people who came out to defend Hudgens against the gross comments, writing that she looked “good” and “great” and another complimenting that she looked “absolutely gorgeous”.

Those are the comments we should listen to, but the response to the photos of Hudgens do prove that it is indeed impossible for women.
