The trial of Titus Day, former manager of Australian music star Guy Sebastian, has been delayed after the Judge in the case became ill.

Mr Day, 50, has pleaded not guilty to 50 counts of fraudulently embezzling royalty, performance and ambassador payments which were allegedly meant to go to Sebastian.

The trial, which began on Tuesday, was due to resume on Thursday morning with Sebastian scheduled to return to the witness box.

After a short delay, the court was told the Judge appointed to preside over the case had become ill.

Judge Peter Zahra would not able to attend court for two days, the court was told.

The trial resumes on Monday.

It’s unclear how the delay will affect Sebastian’s national T.R.U.T.H tour or if he will be permitted to give evidence via audiovisual link if he is unable to be in Sydney.

Sebastian is due to perform in Cairns on Tuesday and other parts of Queensland for the remainder of next week.

He is yet to be cross examined by Mr Day’s lawyer.
