THERE are a few former conquests who might enjoy the sight of this, Shane Warne being covered in thousands of maggots.

Celebrities enter the jungle tonight

SHANE Warne has literally dived head first into the challenges on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!

Within hours of entering the South African jungle as a surprise final contestant, the cricket star was sent off to compete in a bushtucker trial called Up To Your Neck In It.

Trying to win vital food supplies for the camp, he and former AFL star Brendan Fevola had to keep their cool as thousands of bugs were dropped on their heads.

The two contestants stand in a perspex container with corn filled up to their necks and then out of a tube come five kilos of maggots, 5000 mealworms, 2,500 cockroaches, 1000 earthworms, 10 frogs and five snakes.

The challenge airs tonight and producers will be hoping the great rating figures — 1.3m watched the opening show — are repeated.

To get the stars and the food, the two sportsmen must stay in the container for 12 minutes.
