‘They lied’: Netflix angers viewers over act

Just a week after sparking outrage for cancelling yet another popular show, Netflix has enraged viewers with another surprising decision.

Netflix has sparked anger from viewers after failing to live up to a promise, and appearing to delete all traces of it from social media.

Highly-acclaimed but little-known show Detroiters had previously been announced by the streaming giant as arriving on the platform on October 15th.

Starring US actors Sam Richardson and Tim Robinson, the series follows best friends Sam Duvet (Richardson) and Tim Cramblin (Robinson), who together make low-budget commercials for businesses in Detroit.

Both seasons of the acclaimed show earned glowing reviews when they premiered.

Sadly, fans were devastated to discover that the streaming giant seemingly deleted their announcements surrounding the show’s streaming release, and the show was not in Netflix’s library as promised.

“Hey @netflix you’re going to announce Detroiters and make an official Cramblin Duvet Advertising post but then delete the post and disappear the show from search results?!??!?!?!?!!!?,” one fan ranted on Twitter.

“I don’t really tweet ever but am now to say @netflix @NetflixIsAJoke are awful for not streaming. @Detroiters like they said they were going to??? the hell!!!!” complained another.

“Where. Is. Detroiters. @Netflix?, You lied!” posted another annoyed fan, while a fourth added: “Congratulations Netflix, YOU are the chump of the week #detroiters.”

Netflix previously confirmed the news with in a tweet in September, saying: “This is an official Cramblin Duvet Advertising announcement. Detroiters Seasons 1 & 2 are coming to

Netflix on October 15!”

However, that tweet has since been deleted.

In an update posted Tuesday by Uproxx, it was revealed that Detroiters will no longer be available. However, no reason was given.

Netflix seems to have a habit of upsetting its users in recent times.

Last week, a hit Netflix show that drew in 14.9 million total views and had fans calling for a second season has been cancelled by the streaming giant.

The British dark comedy Kaos, which stars Jeff Goldblum in the lead role, was abruptly axed this week, less than three months after its successful debut on the streamer.

According to Forbes, Kaos ranked number 3 on Netflix’s English-language TV chart, accruing 22.8 million hours or 3.4 million views in its first week alone. Overall, the show accumulated approximately 98.9 million hours viewed, which equates to 14.9 million total views.

No reason was given by Netflix as to why the series was canned.
