WHETHER you were going for Team Snez or Team Lana, your tweets were no match for New South Wales Premier Mike Baird.

Don't miss out on the headlines from TV. Followed categories will be added to My News.
FOR eight weeks Australia had been patiently waiting to see who would get the final rose.
And in a shock but sweet surprise The Bachelor Sam Wood went with his heart and chose Perth single mum Snezana Markoski.
The pair had instant chemistry from the moment they met, but when Lana Jeavons-Fellows arrived on the scene, the pundits weren’t so sure.
Crafty editing by the producers has kept viewers baffled as to who this year’s Bachelor would choose right up to the moment Sam broke Lana’s heart.
The hashtags #TheBachelorAu and #bachelorau were trending on Twitter for the duration of the show with many tweeting they just didn’t know.
And while support for Team Snez and Team Lana was quite even on the Twittersphere, when the winner was revealed the reaction was mostly positive for the chosen one.
But the real winner of the night was New South Wales Premier Mike Baird, whose impromptu live tweeting of the program stole the show. You can see why below.
YESSSSSSS, I wanted Snez to win from the start ðð»ððð»ð #TEAMSNEZ #TheBachelorAU

And while just about every woman’s heart swooned when Sam pulled out the necklace for Szenana’s daughter Eve, many were shocked by what he designed for his chosen one.
Wait....that was a promise ring right? he put it on the wrong finger!! #scandal #TheBachelorAU
â Lady â (@voodoo47) September 17, 2015
How sweet. Pity about the ugly ring #TheBachelorAU
â Rhiannon (@EclecticRJ) September 17, 2015

â James North (@James_North) September 17, 2015
OMG THAT RING IS HORRIBLE!!! #TheBachelorAU
â CourtneyByrnes (@ccourtneylouise) September 17, 2015
But the best tweets of the night definitely came from Mike Baird, who was “forced” to watch the finale with his daughters.
Hang on, who's this second guy?! Not even a rate cut from the RBA could deal with the inflation levels in that hair style. #TheBachelorAU
â Mike Baird (@mikebairdMP) September 17, 2015
It must be terrible for those girls. Imagine having every word u say captured, televised, and taken out of context. Oh wait.. #TheBachelorAU
â Mike Baird (@mikebairdMP) September 17, 2015
Hang on. There's a bachelorette?! Why don't they just hook her up with this guy and save us all some time. #TheBachelorAU
â Mike Baird (@mikebairdMP) September 17, 2015
I thought he'd made his decision when he just kissed one of the girls! My daughters are laughing at me. #TheBachelorAU
â Mike Baird (@mikebairdMP) September 17, 2015
He seems very sincere for a guy who is two-timing, live on TV. This is only a 30 minute show, right? #TheBachelorAU
â Mike Baird (@mikebairdMP) September 17, 2015
And the witty Premier (who may have gained a few new voters and the ABC’s Leigh Sales as a Twitter follower as a result of his tweeting) signed off with this.
I can't take any more. Off to bed. Key learning: Cabinet decision making might be a lot simpler with a rose ceremony process. #TheBachelorAU
