Meet the Love Island contestants: ‘I want a guy with neck tattoos’
THE Love Island contestants have already paired up into five couples — so who’s with who? And who are the most cringe-worthy of the reality TV wannabes?

LAST night’s Love Island Australia premiere saw 10 waxed, tanned singles entering a Spanish villa and immediately pairing off into couples — and late in the episode, the first of many “intruders” sent in to ruffle their feathers.
Finding it hard to tell them all apart? Here’s our form guide to the contestants so far, paired into the couplings they chose last night:
ERIN AND EDEN
Her: A 23-year-old Melbourne nurse who is approaching this awful TV show with the right attitude: “I want to find love but I bet I don’t as all the guys will be so hot, I’ll just want to make out with every single one of them.” You have to admire her honesty. Erin has one deal-breaker when looking for a man: “He has to have neck tattoos.”
Him: A 25-year-old prison officer who says he’s made peace with the fact he might be the “bad guy” of the show. Demonstrated his foolproof flirting technique last night: “I just show ’em my heartbeat,” he announced, visibly clenching one enormous pec muscle under his shirt. Eden that’s dumb, that’s gross, do it again please.
It’s worth noting that out of all five couples awkwardly paired together in episode one, Erin and Eden were the only pairing who clearly had the horn for each other.
MILLIE AND JUSTIN
Her: A 24-year-old doggie daycare worker and self-confessed extrovert: “I’m the star of everyone’s Snapchat stories, screaming my head off, dancing on tables, running through water fountains, breaking my shoes, getting naked.” She sounds exhausting.
Him: A 27-year-old international male model, and possibly the biggest poser on a show full of them. “Who wants to talk about themselves being SO good-looking?” he asked in episode one, feigning shyness. Within seconds he was bragging about his “rock star lifestyle” and name-dropping such impressive celeb friends as “Ruby Rose and Nicky Whelan”. MEGA LOLZ.
CASSIDY AND GRANT
Her: A 23-year-old Melbourne waitress and “country girl at heart”. Says her perfect guy is a tall, tattooed sandy blond. Actually seems quite normal? Cassidy, run for the hills!
Him: A 22-year-old Canberra electrician. “Tradies get the ladies” is his favourite saying. Cringe.

TAYLA AND JOSH
Her: A 21-year-old Perth beauty queen (not a job, but OK) and radio presenter. Says her “big personality” can be “intimidating”. This is Love Island-speak for “you will find me deeply annoying by episode three”.
Him: A 25-year-old Sydney sports administrator. Confesses to a chronic health condition: “A wandering eye. A girl will fall in love with me on the first date and I with her, but I may fall in love three times that night.” Watch out, Tayla.
NATASHA AND CHARLIE
Her: A 24-year-old Perth beauty salon owner who’s unlucky in love. Insists she’s been on a date every night for the past few months and hasn’t found a match. EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Humblebrags that she’s dated “doctors, surgeons and millionaires — I don’t want no toilet cleaner”.
Him: A 22-year-old rugby player (and clearly the most attractive of this bunch, just sayin’). Insists he’s not nearly as sleazy as you’d expect, given his notorious occupation.
FIRST INTRUDER: KIM
A 21-year-old hairdresser and bikini model, mother-of-one Kim says she “has to be the centre of attention in every situation”. She entered the villa in the final minutes of last night’s premiere and the other girls just seemed to LOVE her: “Initial reaction? Blond, fake tits, skinny, I f***ing hate you,” said Erin.
Love Island airs Sundays — Thursdays, 8.30pm on Go.
