MAFS’ Tracey doesn’t want to watch tonight’s explosive episode

MARRIED at First Sight’s Tracey Jewel says she cringes as she watches episodes of Nine’s controversial reality show and has revealed she won’t be tuning in tonight.

MARRIED at First Sight participant Tracey Jewel says she will not be watching tonight’s explosive episode of Nine’s controversial reality show.

In the episode, which has been heavily promoted by the Nine Network, Jewel’s TV “husband” is filmed having a secret tryst with another bride from the show, Davina Rankin (who is paired with Ryan).

“I don’t really want to see tonight’s episode, to be honest,” she says.

“I know I will watch it, but I thought I would take it as a small opportunity to get away with my daughter for a few days this week — because it has been a bit hard to watch.”

Jewel, who was blindsided in Sunday night’s commitment ceremony when Dean opted to leave, is set for more humiliation as the series continues.

So how does she feel watching all the action — which was shot months earlier — play out on screen?

“I look back and watch it, and I’m cringing on the couch, going, ‘Wow!’,” she admits.

“(But) you know what? I’ve been true to myself. I look at myself and I’m like, ‘That is who I am. And I can own that.’

“I am not responsible for Dean, or Davina, or anyone else but myself. And so far, so good.”

She also says she’s been actively shielding her daughter, eight, from the negative attention the show has brought.

“I have got to play it a bit down, because I don’t want to upset her, and I certainly don’t want her to see me upset,” she says.

“So I have shown her bits and pieces — more the funny stuff, like the spray tanning, the wedding.

“I have been a little bit selective, because I want her to think about it in a fun way.”
