MAFS star Jessika Power slams trolls who have targeted her over slain ex

Former Married At First Sight star Jessika Power has taken to social media to hit back at “a**holes” who have made her a target.

Married At First Sight star Jessika Power has lashed out at trolls who have criticised her support of her ex-partner, Sam ‘The Punisher’ Abdulrahim.

The pair enjoyed a short-lived romance in 2019, after he was released from prison, and they stayed in touch up until just a few months before his death this week, she said.

Abdulrahim was shot multiple times, including in the head in an alleged ambush in the car park of Quest Hotel on High St in Preston about 10am on Tuesday.

Abdulrahim was labelled a “great protector” by Power, who paid tribute following his shocking death.

However, her kind words sparked backlash online, with the former MAFS star facing criticism over her kind words.

In a rant on Thursday, Power hit back at trolls who she claimed weren’t being “respectful” to a man who had lost his life.

“I’m just over it and it doesn’t need to reflect back into my personal life now … please be respectful and understand that someone has passed away,” she said in an emotional video posted to Instagram video.

“And that we don’t need to be a**holes on the internet constantly and I know there are some troll accounts out there that go ‘Oh I wanna be a piece of s**t today.

“Just stop doing it because it’s not fair on anyone and this is actually a real life event and it is actually really hard on people.

“And it doesn’t need to affect me … me and my relationship right now,” she added.

Her outburst comes after she said that her ex was a “family man” who was a “really good guy”.

“Everybody looks at these bikies and Mongols as bad people, but he was a family man, he was dedicated to his family,’ she said on Tuesday.

“He was protective of his family and he was certainly protective of me when we were together.

“He’s a dad, he’s a husband, he’s someone’s son and he’s just a really good guy.”

She went on to share that a big reason for the split was Abdulrahim’s connections to the criminal underworld.

“I just feel like that underworld thing at the minute in Melbourne and Sydney is just getting out of hand,” she said.

“It was part of the reason why I ended up leaving because I just didn’t want to be around that.”
