WHEN most people think of Kelly Ramsay, they think she’s one half of that catty duo who lost the grand final in last year’s My Kitchen Rules.
Along with teammate and bestie Chloe James, the pair became one of the most talked about women on TV this year.
One year after cameras stopped rolling, both ladies have not only gone on to prosper with their own business and cooking school, but James even found time to get hitched.
And while their catty reputation has been good for business, Ramsay, 28, told news.com.au it did make dating difficult.
“Chloe is married and, yes, I’m still single,” she told news.com.au earlier this week.
“I’m dating, but it’s hard finding love when you’re that b**** from TV.”
Mum-of-one James married fiance Luke Hartin in New York last June in her dream wedding and while her fairytale had a happy ending, Ramsay is still waiting for her Prince Charming.
While she admits she’d love to find Mr Right, she’s also focusing on the catering business she and James have launched hosting instant restaurants in people’s homes.
The pair are busy running Chloe and Kelly, their own private catering company, as well as launching their own cooking school.
They are also working on a pilot for a TV program with Ramsay revealing “life’s pretty hectic”.
And despite being cast and portrayed as the show villains last season, it hasn’t affected business.
In fact, according to both Ramsay and James, they are taking the b*** title and running with it.
“If we go to the shops together, people stop us all the time,” James said.
“People like to talk to us and Kelly loves to talk back.”
But it hasn’t been a smooth ride to the top.
Following their loss to South Australian besties Bree May and Jessica Liebich in the show’s finale, which attracted 3.7 million viewers, the girls were attacked relentlessly on social media.
Ramsay admits the critics hurt, but James refused to pay attention.
“My advice to anyone on the show is just don’t pay attention to social media. It does my head in and is disturbing,” she said.
Ramsay said the people who accused them of bullying rivals Vikki and Helena Moursellas were the same people relentlessly attacking them on social media.
She revealed earlier this year she was broke and exhausted after their loss.
That aside, the West Australian duo said losing had been a blessing in disguise with James saying it gave them the freedom to pursue their own dreams as well as other avenues.
“Things were up and down for a while,” Ramsay said.
“There were points where I regretted going on the show, especially when people were so horrible and the verbal bashing started, but really it just made me stronger.
“And losing has created so much more opportunity for us and given us the freedom to chase our food dream.”
James, 29, has no regrets and said she would do it all again “in a heartbeat”.
