TV PERSONALITY Kerri-Anne Kennerley has thanked everyone for their messages of support as her husband John Kennerley remains in an induced coma after surgery in Sydney.

John sustained serious neck injuries in a fall at Bonville Golf Resort, near Coffs Harbour, on Sunday, and was flown to the ICU at Royal North Shore Hospital on Monday.

An MRI late on Monday revealed a bone fracture between John’s C2 and C3 at the top of his neck, and he underwent lengthy surgery that night, Kerri-Anne’s manager, Sean Anderson, said about midday today.

“The doctors said the surgery went well,” Mr Anderson said.

“Doctors tried to remove the ventilator this morning and that was not successful. They will continue to try over the coming days.

“John is in a comfortable condition and is in the best of hands at Royal North Shore Hospital.

“Kerri-Anne would like to thank everyone for their messages of support.”

Kennerley, 62, remains by her husband’s side.

The much-loved pair — one of Sydney’s most entertaining and energetic couples — has been almost inseparable since marrying in 1984.

They renewed their vows after 25 years and together have faced down his battle with bowel cancer and hers with breast cancer.
