HEATHER Maltman is doing the long distance romance thing while in South Africa for her latest TV gig.
The former Bachelor contestant speaks to actor boyfriend Andrew Steel daily however she can.
The pair have been dating since September last year, going public with their romance shortly after Maltman’s time on The Bachelor screens came to an end.
“It’s a bit s**house, he is pretty hot,” said Maltman, in South Africa to co host I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here NOW!.
“Hopefully he gets to come and visit. We’ll see how we go. We do FaceTime quite a bit and we chat on the phone pretty much every day. It is pretty sad actually.”
She added: “It is hard cos I kind of want to lick his face.”

I’m a Celeb ... NOW! is Maltman’s first major TV job since she appeared as a contestant on The Bachelor last year, vying for Sam Wood’s affection.
She’s in good hands here though, co hosting with celebrated comedian Joel Creasey who was a contestant on last year’s season.
“I have never ever had anyone step back and go, this is yours now, you make it work,” she said.
“It is kind of cool and kind of terrifying because I’ve never captained a ship before and I’m pretty sure if I was the captain of the Titanic I would have gone straight into an iceberg.”
Unlike Creasey, who was a favourite last year, Maltman doesn’t think she’d cope as a contestant on the reality show that kicks off on Ten on Sunday night.
“I am scared of everything that moves so I would probably get in there and be terrified that something would eat me in my sleep,” she said.
