“I’m honoured and thrilled to be involved in such a longstanding and beloved format,” Swan added. “Let the games begin.”

“It’s such a huge UK format everyone wants to do it which is great – a lot of people think they are really great liars,” McGarvey said.

Filming has already started in Cloncurry, Queensland on Australian Survivor: Blood v Water where players will compete in pairs.

Adding a further level of intrigue, each pair is bound by “blood: identical twins, married couples, in-laws, siblings and cousins.

“The thing of Survivor is you’re playing for yourself, but can you really play for yourself if your mother’s there or your sister or your brother,” McGarvey said.

“Some people still play for themselves but the family dynamic really mixes it up.”

I’m a Celebrity, The Masked Singer Australia which just crowned US pop singer Anastacia as its third season winner will be back along with The Amazing Race, and despite low ratings for the Jimmy Nicolson season, The Bachelor and Bachelorette are slated for return.
