Marooned in Sydney after wrapping his part in the star-studded Nine Perfect Strangers in Byron Bay, the rising star of the big and small screen has been making the most of his extended stay as he escapes the ravages of COVID-19 in hard-hit London.
The out-and-proud Brit — who is believed to be holed up at an apartment overlooking Bondi Beach — is clearly enjoying his time Down Under and has been busy partaking in a string of Sydney rituals including lunch at Catalina, swimming in Empress Falls in the Blue Mountains and laying out among the beautiful people on Bondi Beach, where he is now a regular.
It’s also understood Evans is diving headfirst into the dating scene in Sydney which — with the annual gay-and-lesbian Mardi Gras on the horizon — has no shortage of willing candidates.
One yellow Speedos selfie alone notched up more than 6000 comments on Thursday.
It’s understood Evans, who recently split with semi long-time beau and former soccer player Rafael Olarra, has been getting acquainted with one well-known Sydney finance bachelor, with the pair spotted on a handful of occasions last week.
Meanwhile it’s not known when the Hobbit hunk is planning on departing our shores, with his UK representation declining to comment when contacted.
However Evans is slated to soon begin shooting the live-action remake of Pinocchio for Disney + in the US.
