Love is in the air in the Big Brother house.
Genetically blessed pair Chad Hurst and Sophie Budack are set to provide plenty of entertainment as the reality TV housemates take their relationship to the next level.
“Sophie and I hit it off pretty much straight away because we are both goofy I guess,” Hurst told Confidential of the budding romance.
“We don’t take each other too seriously. We are not the loudest people in the room, which is why we got along so well.”
Budack is a former gymnast from Darwin while Hurst is a model and tradie.
They are two of the standout housemates from the first week of the revamped reality show on Channel 7.
“Sophie is the firey one and I am chilled, so it is two opposite people,” Hurst added.
“She is 100 miles an hour and I kind of stick back. I have always had a partner and I like that company.
“I went in there single and not looking for a partner either. I was actually not looking for it at all.”
Budack, 25, describes herself as “psycho” in her cast interview.
She is an aspiring sports journalist and former elite athlete who qualified for the Australian Olympics team to compete at the 2012 London Games but had to pull out because of back fractures.

“She is very honest and she has a funny laugh,” he said. “She doesn’t showboat. Obviously she is very attractive, she reminds me a lot of Angelina Jolie with the same features, and I really like how athletic she is.”
Big Brother is a different beast this season.
For the first time, the series has already been shot with housemates charged with voting each other out of the compound each episode until they get to the top three contestants, when it will be opened up to viewers to back a winner.
That means Hurst has been based in Sydney since production finished while Budack is in the Northern Territory.
He wouldn’t give too much away about the current status of their relationship.
“We are still in touch,” he laughed.
