Action star Jean-Claude van Damme is charging up to $1199 for a selfie when he visits Sydney in March.
The Hollywood star is scheduled to take part in An Evening with Jean-Claude van Damme at the Wesley Centre on Friday March 6 with a date a few days later in Melbourne.
Organisers have three tiers of ticketing starting at $89 for a gold seat, followed by a VIP photo op for $299 that includes a photo with van Damme, priority entry and a tour poster.
The $1199 top tier is platinum seating in the front two rows that includes the same as the VIP tickets with the addition of a signed and framed event item, a personalised item signed and a selfie with van Damme as well as a one hour pre event party with the actor in attendance.
“The very special evening offers attendees an intimate and unique night of entertainment with the martial arts action icon who redefined the action genre in the ‘80s and ‘90s,” the ticketing website reads.
“The event will see the ‘Muscles from Brussels’ live in conversation on stage. During a 60 minute interview the actor will cover a range of topics from his rise to fame to his martial arts career with a focus on his early career classics such as Bloodsport and Kickboxer.”
Van Damme, 59, has been a regular visitor to Australia throughout his career.
He’s previously made films here including Street Fighter with Kylie Minogue and famously mingled with Aussie politicians at former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull’s Budget Lunch in Sydney in May 2018.
Van Damme’s big film credits include Kung Fu Panda, The Expendables, UFO, and Universal Soldier.
