THE Voice contestant Sam Perry has recorded his own original song for release should he triumph in tomorrow’s grand final of the reality singing show. VOTE: WHO SHOULD WIN?
THE Voice contestant Sam Perry has recorded his own original song for release should he triumph in tomorrow’s grand final of the reality singing show.
“I want to take my music in the right direction,” Perry told The Saturday Telegraph.
“(The show’s producers) listened when I said I wanted to write my own song.”
Perry, 28, is the favourite among fellow contestants Sheldon Riley, Aydan Calafiore and Bella Paige.
With the guidance of coach Kelly Rowland, Perry has introduced mainstream Australia to the art of “looping” his voice with a recording machine.
Even coach Delta Goodrem is barracking for Perry, who is just the second artist in seven seasons to write his own winner’s single.
All four finalists have recorded a single but only the winner’s will be released, as part of the recording contract prize with Universal Music.
