The punishing work hours of breakfast television will have been useful preparation for caring for a newborn, TV power couple Sylvia Jeffreys and Pete Stefanovic believe.
The TV power couple have become parents for the first time, sharing the news and a picture of their baby this morning.
“We’re all healthy and happy and just enjoying hanging out with our little man,” Sky News First Edition host Stefanovic told The Daily Telegraph today.
“Luckily, Sylvia and I know a thing or two about sleep deprivation.”
Naming their newborn boy Oscar Hamilton Stefanovic, the couple were ecstatic to share their news with the world.
“Our beautiful boy, Oscar Hamilton Stefanovic,” Jeffreys wrote on social media.
“3.4kg, deep blue eyes and perfectly healthy. He’s absolute magic.”
Stefanovic also shared the news online with an image of his wife and Bub.
“We’ve got our own Oscar,” the Sky News host wrote. “I’m so unbelievably proud of @sylviajeffreys and our new beat mate. Love is strong. Life is fantastic.”
Both were swamped with well wishes, many from celebrity friends including Sarah Harris, Ryan Johnson, Emma Freedman, Bec Judd and Jackie O.
“Congrats guys, he’s absolutely gorgeous,” wrote Jackie O. “Love the name.”
Sarah Harris wrote: “THOSE LIPS. Welcome to the world little man. Well done mama.”
Jeffreys and Stefanovic are regarded as the dream couple of Australian television.
They began dating after meeting when they both worked at Channel 9 and were married in a private ceremony in 2017.
