The sisters behind Australian fashion label Zimmermann celebrated the reopening of their New York flagship boutique this week, which was attended by Hollywood stars including Sienna Millerand Katie Holmes.
Hilary Rhoda, Ajak Deng, Joel Edgerton and Vogue Australia’s Christine Centenera were also among the VIP guests, who were given a first look at the refurbishment designed by Australian architect Don McQualter.
“It’s important that the stores tell our brand story and also speak aesthetically to the city in which they are located,” Nicky said.
The store launch was followed with an intimate dinner ahead of the brand’s upcoming New York Fashion Week show on Monday, which will no doubt feature a similarly star-studded front row.

The Mercer St relaunch followed store openings in New York’s Meatpacking district, Bal Harbour in Miami and London. Europe is also on the brand’s expansion target list, as well as new stores in Los Angeles and San Francisco later this year.
Alice McCall and Dion Lee are also among the Australian labels on this season’s New York Fashion Week schedule, with their collection shows taking
place tomorrow.
