Sydney teen Alyla Browne looked every bit the Hollywood star as she joined superstars Jim Carrey and Keanu Reeves at the LA premiere of their new flick.
Fifteen-year-old Browne wore vintage Betsey Johnson as she attended the red carpet screening for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 at the famed TCL Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard.
“I will sleep well tonight, that is for sure,” Browne told Confidential from the carpet.
“It was very Hollywood, I love it here. It is very special being here.”
Browne isn’t new to red carpet buzz, having attended the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival with Chris Hemsworth, Anja Taylor-Joy and George Miller for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
Sonic is the first ruby rug she’s walked in the US.
“It was massive, just crazy,” Browne told Confidential.
“The carpet went on for so long, there were so many lights, it went on for ages. It was incredible and there were even life-size Sonics and Shadows, it was so fun. It was just great.”
Sonic 3, based on the video game, is in cinemas Boxing Day and is a mixture of animated and live action with Browne playing Maria Robotnik, who is friends with Shadow the Hedgehog, voiced by Reeves.
Despite appearing on screen together, Reeves’ character is animated and so the pair never met properly on set.
“I did (finally meet him),” she said.
“He congratulated me on Furiosa. He was really nice, we took a group photo together. The whole gang is here.”
Browne is nominated for an AACTA Award for Best Supporting Actress in Film for Furiosa, in which she plays a young Taylor-Joy. She is also nominated for a Best Young Actor/Actress gong at America’s Critics Choice Awards next month.
Her other credits include The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, Nine Perfect Strangers, True Spirit and Three Thousand Years of Longing.
