Where Rita Ora will quarantine in Sydney ahead of The Voice Australia

It can be exclusively revealed where visiting music superstar Rita Ora will spend the next fortnight during quarantine — and it’s right under our noses in the Sydney CBD.

While other big name stars have managed to bypass hotel quarantine altogether, visiting British singer Rita Ora will spend the next fortnight at Sydney’s Meriton Suites on Pitt Street in the CBD.

Confidential can reveal the Your Song hit maker is staying in the very same suite used by Hollywood star Chris Pratt for his mandatory quarantine stay last month.

He’s in town shooting the new Marvel movie, Thor: Love and Thunder.

Ora, 30, flew in to Sydney on a commercial flight early Tuesday morning ahead of shooting the upcoming series of Australian reality show, The Voice, alongside fellow coaches Guy Sebastian, Keith Urban and Jessica Mauboy.

Sources tell Confidential Ora’s room is not part of the allotted quota for returning Australians and therefore is not jeopardising the ability for citizens to return home as has been reported elsewhere.

The room is understood to have been paid for separately in order to not impact the quota.

Ora is believed to be sharing the suite with her sister, Elena, who is also her manager.

Arrivals of visiting international celebrities have been generally praised for contributing to the booming film and television industry here while Hollywood remains all but shut down.

Some have however questioned the perceived preferential treatment of those able to avoid the hotel quarantine in favour of more luxurious digs at their own expense.

Mark Wahlberg for example did his two weeks at a Byron Bay property ahead of shooting a television commercial for Ladbrokes in December.

With special permission from authorities, self-quarantining is rumoured to cost more than $400,000 as they must cover security, medical staff and other administrative costs.

Nicole Kidman meanwhile did two stints of quarantine last year at her property in the Southern Highlands while Matt Damon, also shooting Thor: Love and Thunder, quarantined at a home in Byron Bay.
