In a brave display of modern dating, Troye Sivan’s muso brother has taken to social media in a bold bid to find a mystery woman he met while out shopping.

Sivan's lovestruck brother makes bold call-out

The singer brother of superstar muso Troye Sivan took an unconventional approach to finding a date.

Tyde Levi, also a social media content creator, last month put a modern spin on trying to date the old-fashioned way. He put a call out on TikTok to see if he could find a woman he’d met in a clothing store and regrettably not asked out in the moment.

“If you are the pretty Italian girl who works at – I don’t want to say where you work, I don’t want to dox you – who works at Venroy, the store that I came into today, can you please see this TikTok?” Levi said in the cute video.

“And can you please comment on it because I have some very important questions for you, just very business related things and I just need to get to the bottom of this stuff. So if you are the Italian girl that works at Venroy, who helped me with my blazer, comment. I just need to … a couple of questions, nothing too serious.”

Confidential caught up with Levi as he attended an event for Pandora during Fashion Week, where he provided an update on the post.

“She got back to me, she has a partner so that was the end of that,” Levi told Confidential. “It was lovely to meet her though, she was so sweet. I thought, if anyone could find her, it would be TikTok. I went online and TikTok did its work.”

Starting out on YouTube, Levi has built a strong fanbase of his own. He has around 450,000 subscribers on YouTube and 230,000 on Instagram. On TikTok, he has 58,500 followers and 2.5 million likes.

Both Troye and Levi have the surname of Mellet but go by their first and middle names professionally.

Levi released a self-titled EP in 2019 and will this year put out his debut album.

“It is I want to say pop psyche rock, pop undertones but drums, guitar, piano, going back to basics,” he explained. “That’s what I listen to normally and my older music was very R & B heavy and that was not really me and now I am doing it all and I am really happy and proud of where it is going.”
