Kathleen Folbigg will tell her story in an exclusive after the Seven Network negotiated a deal worth more than $400,000.
Folbigg, 55, walked free from Grafton jail on Monday morning after being pardoned from her minimum 25-year sentence for the murder of her three children – Patrick, Sarah and Laura – and manslaughter of a fourth, Caleb.
The Daily Telegraph can reveal that after a fierce bidding war, including a hefty rival offer from Nine, the interview will air on Seven.
Some have suggested the deal could be worth as much as $1 million.
A source at Seven confirmed the interview had been secured exclusively for the network and that it would air on Sunday evening current affairs show, 7News Spotlight.
It will be another win for Seven over Nine’s 60 Minutes after Sunday’s exclusive with Bruce Lehrmann, the man accused of raping Brittany Higgins in Parliament House. Mr Lehrmann has always denied the allegation.
On Monday, Folbigg was pardoned in an extraordinary move after spending two decades in jail over the death of her four children.
Folbigg, now 55, was jailed in 2003 for a minimum of 25 years for the murder of her three children, and manslaughter of a fourth.
Folbigg was released from Clarence Correctional Centre at Grafton at 11.25am.
She walked to freedom after spending 20 years behind bars.
