Samantha Armytage has bought herself a waterfront apartment in Sydney, suggesting the former Sunrise host could be ready to make her next move in the media industry.
The popular journalist and presenter is understood to have paid about $1.5m for the two bedroom apartment in the coveted Rushcutters Bay complex, Marina One.
Armytage would not comment on the purchase when contacted by The Daily Telegraph although some in the industry have suggested she is now ready to look at work opportunities after finishing up with Sunrise in March.
The 44-year-old departed Sunrise after eight years in the hot seat on the top-rating breakfast show, and a further seven years on Weekend Sunrise.
Since then, Armytage and her new husband Richard Lavender have kept a low profile at their NSW Southern Highlands base.
She has, however, kept a foot in the media pool by hosting the top Stellar magazine podcast, Something To Talk About.
The apartment is listed as being sold on July 8, with Laing and Simmons agent Sebastian Maxwell overseeing the transaction. The 111sq m apartment has two bathrooms and a view of Sydney Harbour.
Last year, Armytage sold her Bondi house and her 2ha property at Burrawang to consolidate.
