Two years after Oliver Curtis proposed to his wife Roxy Jacenko for a second time, the couple have put wedding plans on hold due to financial struggles.

The PR maven told Confidential that while former investment banker Curtis wants to get married again, she is more focused on rebuilding their wealth.

“He would love to get married again and I know he’d probably like to set it up next year in Europe,” Jacenko said at the launch of Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar and Lounge.

“The most important thing for us right now is to build our property portfolio.”

Curtis served one year at Cooma Correctional Centre on insider trading charges and popped the question to Jacenko following his 2017 release.

“After his trial, we lost a lot financially and in property,” Jacenko said.

“So our focus is to rebuild our life and for me, another wedding is another expense. I’d rather pay my mortgage. Everything triples in marriage!”

The pair first tied the knot in a lavish wedding back in 2012.

Following his jail release, Curtis, 39, proposed again five years later with a new ring said to be worth $500,000.

The couple, who share kids Pixie, six, and Hunter, four, have been investing in property in the Eastern suburbs for years.

Jacenko, 39, dropped $6.5 million on a six-bedroom home in Vaucluse last year and later spent millions more in renovations on the 10-year-old property, which boasts an infinity pool, media room and custom steam room.

They sold a two-bedroom investment property in Woollahra for $2.63 million two years ago.

In 2014, they sold another Woollahra property for $8 million, after buying it for $6.6 million.

Jacenko also spent $1.4 million renovating her Sweaty Betty office in Paddington last year.

Her other streams of income include multiple businesses including Sweaty Betty PR, Ministry of Talent, Social Union, 18 Communications, Pixie’s Bows and Roxy Jacenko Accessories.

The mother-of-two has written several books and regularly hosts sold-out seminars called Roxy’s Tips and Tricks.

Jacenko made headlines last month after posting a video on social media of a female jogger who repeatedly defecated outside her Paddington offices.

“Do you know who this person is?” she asked her 250,000 followers.

Police were called to investigate but were unable to identify the culprit and subsequently the case is now closed.

“You know what, maybe it wasn’t nice for me to put it on Instagram but at the end of the day we went to the authorities and obviously they’ve got crimes that are far more important to deal with - and now it’s stopped,” she said.

“So all in all I’m glad that I did it because it means people don’t have to walk through it. I actually didn’t want to know who it was I wanted them to just stop. I don’t want to be out with my hose every morning.

“The reality is, if you have a problem address it and that is not outside in public.”
