UBER WAG Rebecca Judd has revealed she had an alternate version of her Brownlow dress she chose not to wear last night.
The glamour wife of Carlton star Chris Judd says the gown was reconstructed at the last minute after she decided the original version was too dramatic for the Brownlow.
The J’Aton designed gown was originally created with a fairytale princess full skirt, emblazoned with a unique ceiling-rose print.
But the bottom half was completely reworked into a more structural and architectural neoprene mesh tiered skirt after Judd and the J’Aton boys, Jacob Luppino and Anthony Pittorino, decided to create a more edgy silhouette.

Judd revealed the full-skirted version of the dress on her blog this morning saying, “This is the full skirt we decided not to go with- we felt it was a little too Met Gala for the Brownlow. It’s pretty insane though!!!”
“I wanted a full skirt style as I had not worn a full skirt before but I needed it to be different to all of the full skirts I’d seen on the red carpet of late (think the Emmy’s just gone). And so we went for a full but folded look- I LOVED it!”
Mr Luppino says the decision created triple the workload for them, but he is thrilled with the result.
“We had planned we’d do a voluminous skirt, but then our creative minds took over (once they saw it) and we thought we’d do another take on a voluminous skirt,” he says.
“It was an afterthought after we started it. It was definitely a lot more work, triple the amount of work, but it’s worth it.”
The unused skirt will now join the extensive J’Aton archive and become inspiration for other gowns and clients.
Judd was once again a standout on the Brownlow red carpet, scoring 10/10 in the Herald Sun fashion wrap and eclipsing all of the other WAGs in the printed glamour gown.
Mr Luppino says he expects to see more printed fabrics emerging in evening wear.
“There’s a lot of work in that but it’s definitely something that will be a trend for sometime,” he says.
