Tennis superstar Rafael Nadal, wife Xisca and their baby son were spotted heading out on a Sydney Harbour cruise with the protective dad holding on tightly to the newborn.

A proud Rafa showed off the baby to friends before jumping on-board.

The ace player is in town for the United Cup ahead of the Australian Open, with his newborn son making a quiet courtside debut at Sydney Olympic Park last Thursday.

After being defeated by Alex de Minaur on Monday night, Nadal controversially called for the format of the United Cup to be overhauled by organisers.

The Spanish star currently holds the most Grand Slam titles in the world and will no doubt aim to add one more to the record — and his little bub may be the lucky charm he needs.

After arriving in Sydney, Nadal spoke of his struggle to “organise his life” after becoming a first-time dad in October 2022.

“The first event I played like a father, without the baby with me, I lost first round. The second event travelling with the baby, I was out in the group stage,” Nadal said.

“In the end I won my last match but I keep improving.”
