Coachella may have been a fashion parade of tiny skirts and bikinis, but these two podcast besties have brought a token from home into the California desert.
Brittany Saunders and Matt Hey ditched the typical Coachella glam for something hilariously unexpected with a head to toe Bunnings worker cosplay for day three of the festival.
Despite never working at the iconic hardware store, they fully committed to the bit — rocking the signature red shirts, green aprons, and topping it all off with classic straw and bucket hats.
The duo showed off their outfits in a post to Instagram, with Saunders giving her best “millennial” dance moves while Hey stood still with arms crossed, as the unmistakeable Bunnings jingle played in the background.
“Guess which one of us was in charge of organising today’s outfit?” she captioned the video.
The internet couldn’t get enough, with fellow influencers quick to applaud the pair on their outfits.
“This is GOLD,” said wellness influencer Simone Anderson.
“Best dressed at Coachella!!,” Kate Jones wrote.
“Out of all things, I was not expecting this- but it’s 10/10 perfection.” another user wrote.
Saunders, who boasts more than 570K Instagram followers, shares a podcast called High Scrollers, with Hey who has 128K followers.
It comes after Coachella turned the heat back up for weekend two — but this time vibes shifted.
Last weekend, the Californian desert played host to an influencer-packed runway, with brand trips and photo shoots at every corner.
This time around, things are a little more low-key and it’s more about the music than the fashion.
For Saunders, this is her third Coachella — but it’s her first time experiencing weekend two, and she’s expecting things to be different.
“This is my first time going on weekend two and apparently it’s a lot more chill,” she shared in a TikTok video.
“Surely it’s not going to be super quiet.”
While the festival may be on the “quieter” side, it is certainly not cheap after Saunders revealed she paid $200 for just four vodka Red Bulls.
As for performances, Lady Gaga gave it her all and pushed through technical difficulties after her mic cut out.
Charli XCX also took the stage again, though fans were left a bit underwhelmed.
Unlike weekend one, which featured surprise guests like Troye Sivan, Billie Eilish, and Lorde, this time the pop singer brought out TikTok star Addison Rae — leading many to label the moment as “disappointing.”
Meanwhile, Benson Boone kept the crowd entertained with a cardboard cutout of Queen guitarist Brian May, after having the real deal join him during weekend one.
