TRAFFIC stopped in Sydney’s CBD as a flash mob of curvy girls took to the streets to promote size diversity in the fashion industry.
Model Amy Willow said it was time the industry and society stopped making size an issue. “ In the fashion industry everyone is really grouped. I hope that we can move beyond standard and plus-size,” Willow said.

For Simply Be, a UK fashion retailer that was behind yesterday’s flash mob, a trip to Australian Fashion Week earlier this year was the deciding factor to start up Down Under.
“I had been to fashion week and saw Bree Warren,” Willow said.
“I looked at Bree and in everyone else’s eyes she was normal, but in the modelling world she is plus-sized.”
