The photo has been released ahead of the unveiling of the made-for-TV production this week.
It has star Natalie Dormer out front, and behind, what appears to be some of the students hanging from a clothesline by their hair.
It’s all part of an intriguing Foxtel promotional blitz, which kicks in with a media launch next week and the opening spot on the Berlin Film Festival’s TV program next Monday.
The six-part Fremantle production stars Dormer, Samara Weaving and Yael Stone and promises to be a different take on the time-honoured story.
Dormer is expected to walk the red carpet at the international showcase, while Stone — pregnant with her first child — flies home tomorrow to lead the fresh cast of newcomers in their first press call at the historic real-life Rock location on Wednesday.
