HOME and Away actor Pia Miller says it is far too soon to think about wedding plans.
Miller became engaged at the weekend when long-term boyfriend, Tyson Mullane, proposed at his family property near Stanwell Park.
“I feel like it was every girls’ dream come true,” Miller said of the proposal. “I had no idea at all, he completely surprised me. It was my birthday weekend so I thought it was a little celebration and next minute he was on his knee. I blubbered out a yes.”
Miller turned 34 last Thursday.
Mullane, 29, a former model, previously dated Australia’s Next Top Model’s Cheyenne Tozzi while Miller has two kids and was married to AFL player Brad Miller.
“Tyson and I are both really chilled people,” she said when asked about the couple’s wedding plans as the pair arrived at the GH Mumm marquee in the Birdcage for Melbourne Cup celebrations.
“I guess we haven’t really thought about wedding plans yet, I am still just getting my head around this beautiful moment that happened on the weekend. I’m still on cloud nine.”
Wearing a Dion Lee dress, she added: “We will try and keep it as simple as possible just with our loved ones, our family and friends.”
The couple have dated for a couple of years and are generally very private about their life together.
“We really haven’t got to the point where we are thinking about planning it but I love the idea of a destination wedding, whether that be an hour down south or over in Paris,” Mullane said. “At this point, we will wait and see.”
Miller is still on screen on Home and Away, although she wrapped shooting the Seven soap earlier this year.
She is now filming a new Channel Nine drama, Bite Club, that will air next year.
“It is just so awesome to be a working actor in Australia, just to be working is really cool. I am super stoked.”
