The break-up of Sam and Phoebe Burgess is playing out on social media with the estranged parents celebrating their son’s first birthday separately before both posting multiple photos on Instagram.

Baby Billy Burgess was blissfully unaware on his first birthday of the break-up that has engulfed his family.
The public split of Billy’s parents, football star Sam Burgess and estranged influencer wife Phoebe, is playing out on social media as both parties express their love for their young son and his sister, Poppy.
On Sunday alone, Phoebe shared 34 Instagram stories and 10 stand alone images as she hosted a country picnic birthday party for her son.
“Billy turns 1,” she wrote. “You are so loved you happy, huge-hearted little boy. Every single day with you is pure joy.”
Burgess did not attend the lavish party, which included a miniature pony and a specially made crown with Big Billy on the front.
WAGS including Bec Judd and Emma Hawkins are among those to have commented on her post.
On the other side, retired Rabbitohs star Burgess shared one post with four stand-alone images of his son.
“Happy 1st birthday Son. Can’t wait for many more together. Love you xx”.
Footballers Ben Teo, Jason Clark and Adam Reynolds sent their well wishes by commenting on Burgess’s post.
The partners of Burgess’s twin brothers, George and Thomas, also commented.
“Big birthday kisses from us,” Joanna Burgess wrote, Tahlia Giumelli adding: “Happy Birthday Billy”.
Sam and Phoebe Burgess broke up three weeks after Billy was born last December.
