It’s the multimillion-dollar luxury sportswear brand worn by the likes of Margot Robbie, Cate Blanchett and the Kardashians, but P.E. Nation has come under fire over a “tone deaf” message amid the Black Lives Matter movement.
Bondi fashionista Pip Edwards’ company was accused of glossing over racial injustice by using the hashtags “#WeAreAllInThisTogether” and “#equalityforall” instead of the widely used “BlackLivesMatter” in a recent Instagram post.
Fans blasted the post as “lazy” and “disappointing”, with some even vowing to boycott the popular brand.
“Not good enough. This isn’t about equality. Why are you afraid as a brand to stand up and say #blacklivesmatter????? Not ok.,” one user commented.
Another wrote, “Grossly disappointed in this statement — will not be purchasing again.”
A third person added, “Wow I feel pretty stupid for having spent so much money with you guys. This just isn’t good enough.”
Not all comments were critical, with two fans posting heart emojis.
Confidential has contacted P.E. Nation for comment.

The brand was formed by Edwards and Claire Tregoning in Sydney in 2016 and has since expanded across the globe, with US stockists including leading department stores like Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus.
The uproar comes just days after another popular Australian fashion label, Zimmermann was forced to issue a public apology following accusations of racism.
